  5. ive moved several times with my fish around 5 i think and everytime i use the rubbermaids and have never lost a single fish. I move a 120G a 90G and a 55G.. i usually save as much tank water as i can into the rubbermaids and then add the fish with an airstone and a heater. The last time i used them was when i swapped out my gravel to arragonite and the fish were in the tubs for almost 10 hours till the cloud settled and they were good! i would say its the safest and least stressful option for your fish!
  6. Thank you very much, Taken a few years to get it to where its at but so worth it!. appreciate the feed back!
  7. I had used NLS exclusively for over 4 years and was interested in seeing what something else may do for my coloring so i am currently trying a mixture of "Dainichi cichlid" color fx and color supreme. Do you have any knowledge of Dainichi products? I have been feeding it for just over a month and a half or so with still a little mixture of NLS and it appears my colors are "popping" more, especially the reds. Input?
  8. My 120 G taken about a month ago with color gravel still. 120 G tank after switching to aragonite 4 days ago ( still a little cloud) 90 gallon grow up tank also africans Let me know what you think!
  9. Hey there. I currently run 3 cichlid tanks and would have to say that if you are doing a 90 gallon tank with peacocks you are going to want to do more than 5-6 different species just for the fact that peacocks tend to be aggressive towards similar peacocks. You want to almost over crowd your tank to take down aggression levels and by doing that you are going to want 20 or so different species instead of 5-6 with multiples of each since only one male of each with show the most color.

I just recently switched my gravel over to Aragonite and the africans seem to love it. Its been 3 days since i put it in and my water is still not totally clear yet though, thats the only downside i can see thus far.
