i got three african dwarf frogs yesterday... it looks sooooo empty

they're great, they stay together and are very playful...and they're beautiful...the bigger the group the better; and when you max out at .75 of an inch... you can fit alot of them comfortably.

hmmm... what about the african dwarf frogs; how many could I house in there by themselves?

Howdy! I am thinking of doing a 5 gallon betta tank but I am not 100% sure. what else could I put in there with a male betta, if anything? or what other colorful fish are there? bottomfeeders? what about dwarf frogs? is there enough room for some with or without the betta? its for my desk so the more character the critters have the better

I told them i like the Christmas moss better anyway and they are sending me another package of it to make up for the mistake. I officially like them and recommend them.

I was wondering about moss walls. is there anyway to do a partcial wall with christmas moss and not use a wire mesh?

thats them...there was a bit of a warm spell when I got mine, perhaps it was just good timing? It's good they're replacing them...they seem good and I liked the prices

I orderd some java moss (10'' by10'' patch) from that john dude from Malaysia off of ebay and they accidentally sent me christmas moss...but, it was perfectly healthy ...cost me under $10 IN TOTAL and I actually am glad they mixed it up 'cause I like it better! Its a very rich dark green and is growing faster than the java moss I bought over a month ago.

I agree the vase rocked! and your daughter will most definately treasure the butterfly box, my pappie used to do stuff like that for me, and i did!

HI guys, these are pics with the substrate switched up...I loaded them to another thread for those of you who have seen them already. but i wanted to add that i pulled ups ome of the plants to give my bro and since I put those jungle lab fert tabs they have been growing like crazy and...the root system is great! I got more goodies on friday when i went to edmonton but, I still don't have it all set up yet..the stupid rocks aren't being friendly and cooperating with me. but i am getting three wisdom teeth pulled tomorrow so I suspect I will be planted at the computer pouting and uploading pics and updates. yeah! I got one tooth pulled thursday already and I'm barely surviving that as is... :boxed: good thing God doesn't give us more than we can handle or i'd be toast! tank @ 25 days old Hey Jason, how do I mix the ferts? I just read somewhere that the pitbulls like to be in groups. and with the pygmies, do you know what their 'normal' behaviour is? and the tank is planted... how big do ottos get?

I was admiring a pitbull pleco the other day (they're particularily ugly) and are otos sensitive? my bro bought two on friday from BA's and they were dead by morning. I had bought one before and he died too...although there were suspicions of murder. do they like mature H20 or something? I really like them but, I'd preffer not to kill anymore

so should i be starving them? (that sounds horrible ) they seem to only eat if they see the food floating down...they won't touch it if its on the bottom or floating...grrr

k, I have 21 dwarf rasboras, and 7 pygmy cories, and I preformed a little experiment...I took out the two peppered cories and the whiptail catfish. My reasons were: -the pygmy cories hide 95% of the time -the whiptail has been 'depressed' since about the time I switched up the aquariums (from fancy goldfish to tropical), at first I thought he was sick but I don't think he is. well, the catfish is at my dads back with his double-finned friends and is very active -day and night...which is how he used to be...YAYYY!! the peppered cories are in my shrimp tank...bored by the looks of it...but, the pygmy cories are out and about all over with the rasboras. So something made them more comfy. anyways, now I find myself pleco-less - unacceptable. I want one that will stay relatively 'to-scale' with all my other tiny fish.

which of the species stays the smallest (other than dwarfs or pygmies)?

hmm. some sites say they like to be in the open and others say they are hiders... lotsa help that was I plan on getting some driftwood and more rock on friday, so I guess we'll see, I'm all curious now

The burrowing of a whiptail like that seems to me like some sort of stress mechanism to a lack of hiding spots? Try throwing a clay plant pot or something in there maybe or maybe I'm out to lunch on this one awe, i never thought of that time to hit google ...

Zebra snails are Nerites. I am giving one of the two to my dad in hopes the eggs will stop...he won't care about them but they annoy me here are some updated pics.... ther will be more on the way once I get back from the city friday. the sand looks a thousand times better than how i had it all before...and the fish like it better. there are pics of my whiptail catfish burried in it. thats all he does all day... http://s119.photobucket.com/albums/o136/vi...?albumview=grid I cannot believe how dirty the glass is! sorry!
