Hello. How long does it take to cycle a discus breeding tank? I have 20 gal, sponge filter and pvc and heater. Im doing bare bottom tank. Im using ro water with mix of bee shrimp mineral gh+. When i tested this morning my water reading seems fine. Ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 0, pH 6.4, gh 6 and kh 1 I just setup this tank yesterday.

I want to start a heavy planted aquarium with Capacity: 500 L (130 U.S. gal) Aquarium Dimensions (W x D x H): 150 x 58 x 65 cm (60 x 22.8 x 25.5 in) I have currently 4x t5ho bulbs 54-watt. I have 2 bright white and 2 blue. It was like this when i bought the tank. Do u think should i make it 4 bright day light or should i leave the way it is. Im just afraid it will be too much light. Thanks guys. And im worried hc plants will not survive if light is not enough. What do u think? Thanks guys

I bought pea puffer last week and until now they still not eating. I tried feeding them frozen brine shrimp but no success. Any recommendation guys? You think bloodworms would work? Thnx

Reduce your light only 7 hours a day. Then use excel flourish 5 ml a day for 3 days. Follow the instruction. I have the same problem as you. But now no more algae.

Your substrate has not enough nutients maybe. Try to use ada substrate and mix it with some aquatic soil, you could get it from home depot and buy miracle gro and 1 stick cut them into 3 and buried it on your substrate. Really works.
