  1. Has any thing new been done in the last month?
  2. Check the link in the first post there are pics in there.
  3. I would some thing like $1600 - $2000 depending of what in included with the tanks. That is a very clean set up, I wish I had the money to buy that.
  4. I had a AC 110 on my 150 but traded it for a an FX5 after about 6 months.
  5. You need to have the order cleared by USFW. it costs about $95 US
  6. The tank will support as many fish as where in the tank the meida came from before you have to start slowly upping it.
  7. If you are using the media from a cycled tank then your tank is going to be mostly cycled. you can slowly add the fish you want.
  8. Read up on fish less cycle. If you are dead set on using fish I would use the convicts since they are feeders  .
  9. Please resize your photos and hit enter between IMG tags.
  10. If you want to plant you tank I would look at a canister, an XP 1 is going to be more then enough.
  11. I saw a thing on Discovery channle about building it, it is in 4 large sections somthing 2 feet thick and it took something like a month to join them in location and place it as one giant sheet. http://science.howstuffworks.com/
  12. I have never seen a plywood bottom only but it is possible. If you have access to a way to notch the wood so the glass will fit in, it has to be snug but not tight. Fiber glass or use a pond armor product to seal the plywood. When you set the tank in make sure that there is a bead of silicone the notch to create a gasket and then seal around the bottom with a bead of silicone just lit you would with a glass tank. http://www.pondarmor.com/
  13. Did you decide what you are going to do yet?
  14. I have a rena xp 2 2 fluval 204s, and a fx5 I love the fx and rena but I will most likly never use the 204s again full time. I want to try and eheim but I have not broken down and bought one yet.
  15. X3 I love them the best heaters I have ever used. I also like the stealth heaters for tanks with over zelus fish in them.
  16. Where did you post it? Did you post a price as per the buy sell rules?
  17. Acrylic will not bond with silicone, that is why you can't use it to fish the bottom of the tank.
  18. Well you still have the glass that you paid for and the back so you could make a large ply-wood glass tank, or two smaller ones. :smokey:
  19. If the bottom is well supported, wich it looks like it will be, you can plate the bottom it will save some cost but you have to have the plate cover the bottom panel and the botttom of the sides.
  20. IF it goes 1/4" from the edge then I think it might be too close. Is there still a lip on the bottom of the tank or is it just flat glass? If it is flet glass call around to gless shops you might be able to get a sheet of salvage glass that will fit the bottom of the tank, for cheap even though you might have to wait.
  21. You can add a 1/4" plate over top of the cracks as long as they don't go from edge to edge. If they do you will need to replace the whole bottom of the tank. Do you still have enough of the orininal glass from the frot pane to cover the cracks?
  22. You will nopt need to have a valve on the Line going to the sump. Have you looked at this site? http://www.dursostandpipes.com/
  23. If you are only planning to softies then the T5 light will be fine. But if you think that you may end-up doing SPS or any other hard corals in the future get MH now it will save you a headache down the road. Have you looked at J&L for lighting? The have some retrofit kits that you can make your own canopy for and it will save you some of the problems you mentioned with the Corallife fixture.
