I am still working on gathering items for my "Redneck Fishtank" and looking for the ugliest ornaments ever........ So far we got a flourescent skull (from Big Als) and Kevin was nice enough to donate a Jamaican Beer Bottle. This week I am going to find a bottle depot and see if they are willing to sell me a few of those "mini bottles" the airlines used to hand out. I also picked up some black pvc pipe from Home Depot. (We changed our minds on putting engine parts in the tank as we are conserned about corrosion. ) Looking for your suggestions please! Dave :beer:

You could try out feeder fish in a five gallon tank? At least you won't have to worry about the kind pulling a plugged in heater out of the water See where things go from there I don't know a whole lot about kids ....... just my two cents worth Dave

Used lumber is easier to find this time of year. Yes, lumber may be a bit cheaper as it usually rises in price early spring. I suppose it probably isn't that big of a deal as you aren't going to be building something which requires allot of lumber Dave Instead of buying a sink why don't you use an old aquarium? Check out the Bargain Finder and used building supplies places. If you aren't in a rush you can save a few bucks on the sink. You could also wait for garage sales to start up this spring. The down side is if you wait till springyou won't get as much of a deal on the lumber What type of insulation are you thinkin about usin? Dave

Our pair of pink convicts were doing their thing, laying eggs and digging out under leaning slate. Well, she took out too much gravel last night and was trapped under the rock for about an hour. After much frantic screaming by Tammy I went to the rescue to then be attacked by the male. After lifting the rock she swam out "ok" and is still hiding this morning Is there anything we should (or can) do for her at this point? Dave

Unfortunately no, these ones weren't from Riverfront...I rescued them from BA.Out of 5 I have 2 left alive and barely :cry: They had fin rot and ich...Doesn't look like they are gonna pull through. On the positive side, I also bought 6 German blue rams and 5 are healthy and happy...I think I have 2 females and 3 males. Two of the males are constantly sizing each other up and they are very active and brightly colored..chase the 2 that seem to be females around a bit. Any advice for savin the last 2 Gold rams?? I have done a 30% water change today hoping that will help them as I know they can be sensitive to water parameters, although everything is fine ammonia 0, Ph 6.5, Nitrites 0 Nitrates not sure of. I did add some Aquarisol for the ich and fungus...could that have killed them? I did it at half dose though... :eh: Tammy

I have priced out Pisces, Gold, Riverfront, Francos and others and have found Francos to be in the middle Some stuff is higher priced and a few a bit lower. Fish are about "average" also. His selection of fish kick serious a** over Golds (like most stores) It is a well run family buisiness, one which deserves the support of the community Dave :beer:

How many amps do heaters and Aquaclear filters use? (We keep tripping the 15 amp breaker) Dave
