Hung, Is the tanks still doing OK? I use the stratum for a few years now and find it to be really good. Some people say it crumbles but I never had that issue with the old or new type. I even wash it really good after it loses it's buffering capabilities and use it as a regular gravel, which has it's own benefits over regular sand. I'd like to see a follow up pic of the tank.

I find that trimming it causes it to grow denser.
