mac2 These fish get screwed on camera as the black bars get drowned out quite a bit. They are actually quite amazaing looking. Turn white and black.

I kinda like the look of this ray. I am looking for a bit of information on it. If anybody has the scientific name it would be appreciated as I can't find anything under the referred common.

If there was a nuclear war, all that would survive would be Rats, cockroaches and Lyonsi. They are truly the indestructible cichlid. Funny new story. I drained one of my temporary tanks down to as far as the syphon would let me. Thought I moved all of the fish out of there until later in the evening I heard a splashing coming from a pot I had in there. Guess what it was and guess who is doing just fine!!

No question they are the real deal. There was a thread about it on pfish. Yes I did check them out. I pissed and moaned for a while and then decided I didn't want the planted tank. Cool as hell Albert. Seeing them and having others buy them is good enough for me. My fish room will be done on Thursday so I will be a lot less chosey over tank space then.

I think a lot were ordered on line as I have talked to a few on pfish who got some. The word is that they die pretty easily for no apparent reason. Some say that they need to be kept in cooler water in a planted tank or they will die suddenly at some point. I will be interested to see who grows them out as they have caused some serious buzz on many boards as most Bleheri that are sold are actually Gachua. Good score Albert and Dennis. Definately got Golds rep buzzing!!!

I agree. Get Red Tiger motos and you will be much happier.

I had a big female a couple of years ago. They are pretty cool cichlids. They have a typical guapote mentality. Shy for the most part, but can be territorial. There is a local guy/breeder who has a pair of Red tiger Motoguense that he was selling as Loiselle through Pisces and also another guy (who could be the same guy) who sells Loiselle as Yellow guapotes. I picked up mine at Petland 32nd, I they were there more than once and the red tiger motos were at Pisces a couple time now. Ask around for all of the above and with any luck you will get one at an LFS. Just a note on the above. If you do track this guy down, make sure that you get a bunch of them as this guy does not "crop" his fry and although the babies look alright many of the fish I saw from both batches were incredibly deformed. If you have troubles and you feel like spending a bit more talk to Canucklehead, or myself as we can most likely track one down for you, but it will have to be shipped. . :poo:

How much are the Motoros Albert.

I think Golds was the first to bring them in they are a relatively new strain about 5-7 years old. My favorite other than wild caught.

In my opinion species folders seperate and already digressed member group. We need to grow before we niche, not the other way around.

Clown=Asian In order to keep one clown knife would be a chore keeping the tank clean. Throw an oscar in there and you got problems..

Not Sean is it?? I was wondering where that guy went. He is a good guy. I hope Petland is reading this. If petland is paying $10 a pop to sell them for $30 them then let them. One party is smart in this transaction. At least the guy is not selling them for anything else but hybrids. $10 says they end up in the mixed african tank listed as assorted peacocks going for $1.99 at christmas time. Along with the sunny convicts they have had there since the store was constructed. :bang1:
