sharug1, i also had a similar experience with my fx5. this happened a few weeks after setting it up it seemed like it was constantly priming with minimal flow for several days. there are just bioballs loaded in the middle chamber of the fx5. i gave it a once over much like your description and..........it runs great, months on end. so unfortunately i can't offer any advice. other than, i suspect it had to do with my initial bolt up??? or filled wrong???

add all the old stuff + new water and you are good. i like to giver a shot of old water lol for luck.

a 20 gallon should work. maybe buy or build a divider to have on hand. might be necessary now and then.

how about SA cichlids? we should be able to play them too. more variety. as far as grammodes, i'm packing a pair, courtesy jroc, in a divided 40 gallon breeder. growth is a very slow roll. hopefully the move to a divided 75 with dual 2217s will help out. lol nice examples gents. roller derby totally kicks azz.
