Who thought I'd be posting here, again, so soon. My fish have ich, and I was wondering what was the best way to treat it. Keep in mind...I have snails...and they are sensitive to copper. I know how to treat ich normally, but with my snails being in that tank....I'm kinda lost. uggg....one thing after another.

Thanks....but I really did need a new tank anyways....guess if you wish for it hard enough you can get what you want. The fish are loving the tank....they are all swimming....loving it, it's great. Sorry Jonah about my dog louie trying to eat you while you were here, LOL!!! He just doesn't like strangers. I ended up going back to petland and picking up one of the L204 Plecos. I name my plecos after shakespere. Horatio is the Common Pleco, Hamlet is the Clown Pleco, and Mercutio is the new L204 Pleco. Everything seems to be doing well. Thanks again everyone.

Well.....ended up going to Petsmart for a new tank. It's all set up and fish and snails seem to be much much happier. Crisis over....<sigh>....now it's time to sort through the snails for which I want to keep and which will become puffer food for Jonah. I love snails, but at the same time....I'm to freakin' tired......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Thanks a bunch everyone for the advice.

thanks a bunch everyone. have the air pumps in there.....definately gonna put a lid of some sort on the one for sure cause I have a 10" pleco in it .....that gets pissy when I move his stuff around. I'm currently rescueing my fish and snails and placing them in rubbermaid containers which I'll be setting up with air pumps. I was just wondering if there was anything else I can do to help with setting up the rubbermaids to be temporary homes. I'm not worried about temp. cause I barely have to use a heater as is. We will be going out and buying a new fish tank as soon as we finish draining the water out of the cracked one.

OMG!!! Most people would find that waking up to the sound of waterfalls....and a nice breeze on the face would be relaxing. Ya know, that far off vacation that you always wanted to take!!! Well HELL NO!!! I woke to hear water falls alright! My 35 gallon is now 15 gallons short of what it should be......and I'm frantically trying to set up something temporary in rubbermaids, but am feeling clueless right now. Call it an early morning panic attack or whatever. Any ideas. Sorry to those I was preparing orders for. I think we can safely say they are now delayed....cept Jonah....if you want fish I now am in need of getting rid of them more than ever. Let me know....I can and will deliver to you if needed.

I should get kim to special order me that too. And how big can a platy be, before is too big for your royal gamma? I have lots and lots of platys varrying in sizes. There are also some small mollies I wouldn't mind.....making disappear as well. Let me know and I can add that to your puffer food order.

ya, I just used my husbands dremel to make my hermit crabs some coconut caves......still alot of work....but fun!!! :P

I love the pics at the top. Those fish look beautiful. The only pretty fish in my tank are my rams....and my corys. Everything else except my red whiptail cat, my common pleco, synasontis, keyhole, and clown pleco I WANT THEM TO .......ahem....disappear. <thinks to self "die platy babies die!!!!">

LOL....I ended up buying a tank...sponge filter....and I have more than enough food for them (300 snails can eat a lot). So yet another fish tank....lol. Glad I get a discount!....lol!!

Oh ya, that would be one of my MANY MANY platy babies.

I love those shrimps too....<giggles to herself> I so want more!!! My husband likes them too. We both sat and watched them for like 20 minutes. <so sad> I noticed you spelled my name right too......good job....I have trouble most days! LOL

Thanks.....I love them. Every last little snail. Which I only have like 300 of. <shakes head> Because they are just getting big enough for shipping (large pea size), I only have limited quantities that I will be putting up for sale. But I can tell you right now. There will be lots more in the near near future. So if you miss this lot....don't worry, there will be more.

Well here are some pics of my new snails. The pictures don't quite do their coloring justice. Their coloring is really much more vibrant through the naked eye. Thought I would like to share them with you all. And if anyone is interested....I may be willing to part with a few.......it's not like I have a shortage or anything <rolls eyes> (really.....if you look at my gravel....it seems to crawl....there are so many lil babies there). So let me know.....I am willing to ship to either calgary or edmonton...I have shipped previous batches to melody in surrey BC so ....shipping isn't a problem.

I use a ten gallon tank as my "nursery" or fry tank. I have currently in there three sets of spawns both balloon mollies, and platies. To make sure that all are getting food I crush finely a mixture of livebearer fish food, and fry food...and I tend to over feed just to make sure that the wee ones get fed as well. I don't worry about excess fish food in the water because I also have some of my snails in there....a couple of which are Melody's snails. All the fry seem to do well and I have never noticed any deaths...so it works.

Well last I checked when I bought the tank, It was a 250 gallon bow front, but he definately needs a bigger tank. LOL!!! And now I can add ten more snails to my pet list. but these ones are pinks and purples....and one ivory...yay!! :thumbs:

I've signed up for about a month now, but never really introduced myself. Hi, I live in Red Deer Alberta. As far as things that are fishy that I have, they are, three white clouds, one danio, three platys (one possibly pregnant), three otocinclus, one common pleco, and a horde of brig snails. Well I also have two degus, one dog and a husband. Well that's me for now I guess.

I love your turtle, one day I'll have to see him in person.
