I agree with dunl a ten gallon tank is way to small.............. I find all my cichlids are very teritorial and need a lot space to be happy, plus the ones I originally bought never really grew in the ten gallon they came with, they fought all the time..... My smallest breeding group is in a 33 gallon tank.

So what type of cross are they????

Well thought I would let you all know that this little pleco has had no change in the lump on the side of his head. :cry: It looks like a light pink growth, it looks like bumpy and sorta like califlower, have treated him for parasites, now trying some melafix.................... I don't think he is gping to change .................... so we have decided to move him into his own five gallon tank and keep him there. That way he can live there(as long as he still seems healthy otherwise) . It is the only thing I can think of as my little girl is quite attached to him. :eh:

Well thought I would update on the little cichlids............. Thank you all for your help, most of them are doing well, we did loose four :cry: but the others seem alot more lively and their eyes are clearing up. Time should help get them back to good health.

OK, OK, I admit it I have a problem....................... It began with only a little fish, I was not looking to spend so much time and money......... Now I got to bed at night listening to running water from the filters and staring at an Aquarium....................... I get up before 6am and feed the fish before the kids................My three year old can identify several different species of Cichlids and knows the names of all the Angelfish. I can't stop............... It's too late......................... I'm addicted! -roll- Now its plants for the Aquariums! And you have lots! One................................no three, planted tanks so far! Another addiction..........................Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Thanks for the opportunity to indulge.................................

Oops! sorry! I have heard that clove oil works. Maybe ask fatpuffer he mentioned using it on some puffers.

What, and leave me with nothing to do but the work I'm supposed to be doing in the wee hours? Perish the thought . My kids loved the video, I shuddered :cry: thinking of the poor fish!

Hey, Got some cichlids given to me.............. some have cloudy eyes......... Whats wrong with them? How can I treat this? They are in their own tank, some are in a net enclosure(they seem blind,and I don't want the others to eat them). Please help.................... :cry:

Well want to get my fish into my 230 gallon tank, I have some, getting more this week,how long should I quaranteen them? Should I treat them for parasites as a precaution? Looking for your expert advice here. :bow: Have a big tank and want to keep it clean of any problems................. Can you help??????
