  1. How long do you think it will take for the eggs to hatch? This is my first experience with egg layers
  2. I just looked in my tank and my female convict has paired and spawned with my male hrp. there has got to be 50 - 100 eggs. any chance of these being fertile?

  4. I agree with fishbrain, they eat ALOT, plus lack of minerals would probably be it. They are not finicky about water quality

  7. thanx for the help. when I got them in my tank the colors changed after a bit- they were tinfoil barbs. unfotunately after being rescued from a 29 g the shock of the move was too much and they did not make the nite :cuss:
  8. these were a rescue, about 6 inches long, body is flesh colored changing to yellow about 3/4 way down
  9. She was a blue mickey mouse platy who is survived by too many children and grandchildren. she past away yesterday from natural causes and will probably be missed by many males

  15. My wife thinks that maybe you should label your tanks so she might know what kind of fish they are and that it might be a good way for her to learn about the fish in her own time.
  16. No matter what I do this :cuss: stuff will not grow for me. Ive tried different light level, fertilzer, water temp and allit does is sit there collecting sediment. Any ideas?

  19. I work in meat proceesing and can order beefheart from the company at a reduced price, but it comes frozen in a 6olb case. If anybody in edmonton or area want some let me know and I will get a price
  20. Do you know what type of snail it is? If it is a malaysian trumpet snail then it is beneficial to have them in a planted tank because they are burrowers and keep the substrate from getting to compacted around the roots and will eat any dead leaves that have fallen off
