  1. Tim I'll put ya first on the list for little ones. Ido have a bunch of Black Nangus Juvies. But I know how you like the big ones...
  2. Hopefully this one works
  3. You more than likely have a 100 amp service. A sub panel would be the best solution providing the room was on one or two breakers. But it sounds as though they really out did themselves when they wired up that particular room. Is this room in the basement? or a common area in the upstairs part of your residence? It just got a lot more complicated to fix your problem. Talking about cutting holes in walls and running more wire to at least bring that room in to some sort of series of circuits. Not gonna be cheap to do it properly. Heaters are bad for tripping breakers period. Any GFCI protected circuit will trip with most heaters. ( A heater is basically a short, 2 hots.. and this is what creates the element to produce heat. )
  4. Spill the beans.... What is happening with your room? How many circuits in the room? Are the lights on the same breaker? Is it constantly tripping? What are ya running? Details... all about the details!
  5. Are they made in china or Taiwan? Chances are you won't see those in the toolbox of a guy that changes out panes of glass on a highrise. Make sure you wear your PPE !
  6. He's got some nice coloring for 5 1/2 inches.
  7. I would say your on borrowed Time! Think about it. You literally have a tonne of weight there, you agree? If it has held thus far on two corners, you are extremely lucky. I have only seen 50 gallons of water on the floor before... Man, would that suck for you. Don't try shimming it, just drain it and put it on some styrofoam. PUTTING STRESS LIKE THAT ON GLASS IS REALLY BAD! Got insurance?
  8. Petland has some nice wild caught Scalars right now. Well they did, but are getting more early October. Some stores might still have a few left. I haven't seen Angels that big in many years.

They are either Kitumba or Kapampa, definately not Mobas. Mobas are not the most common Zaire. They might be the most common falsely advertised. But a True Moba is still hard to come across. They are newly imported and are still quite shy and or pissed off about being in the tank. They probably don't care for the lighting in the room either! As soon as I figure out which ones they are, I'll post it.
  10. I'll give it a go.. Not a photographer by any means. Turn the room lights out, keep tank light on and flash off hey??? Give me a day or two, I'll get them...
  11. Well, I received my fish and they are Beautiful. Not as big as I was hoping, but awesome none the less! The biggest are about 6 inches, and the smallest are around 5. They sworm like Oscars at feeding time. And they are not picky eaters. I'm staying away from live feed.

5 Groups Now! I have a W/C colony of Zaire Blue ( 2 Males and 8 Females ) These guys are sweet. I will post some pics in a couple weeks after the tank gets set up..
  13. I would use that brick border for sure. Doesn't look as though there is enough strenght on those two long sides. How high are the sides? even at 16 " you should brace the sides or strap it across the top. You could fix it up for $7, glue, and a few screws.
  14. Difficult with juveniles to determine exactly. I'm thinking Hypselecara coryphaennoides over Hypselecara temporalis.
  15. Equivocating apparent tourturous handling to a normal, quick death.... ...Hmmmmm..............Don't you think that life, no matter what it's allocation, should be respected? After all, those fish, even if they were to be used as feeders, should be given some dignity as they are giving up their lives to continue on the survival of another species. Like you said, it is all a matter of perspective, I guess... :eh: I got Black Piranhas that eat chunks out of feeders and nothing else. Maybe eat his back half off so he can't swim. Nothing quick about that! Matter of perspective, For sure.
  16. Some of those guys just get de-scensitized ( sp. ) after a while... They are just simple minded when it comes to fish that are primarily looked at as " food ". Were you buying feeders? Whos the meanie? the guy catching the fish, or the lady throwing the goldfish in with the Piranha? Just depends what side of the fence your looking over... Just my Opinion.
  17. That fish is just Hungry! Feed the little bas*#rd and he'll be cool as a cucumber.. lol
  18. For color the males will get a yellowish-orange pelvic and anal fins, as the females fins are more whitish. They get a tint of colouring throughout their silver bodies, but not extremely colorful. But to watch these guys swim around is pretty cool! They only get to be about a foot long. I'll be looking for a bigger tank... Yikes. lol I'm gonna be locked out of the house when I open my mouth about this one. Just have to come up with the right approach. I got them from a buddy in the States. He gets alot of Wild stock. Really cool stuff that you don't often see. They aren't here yet, I'll post some pics when I land them.
  19. Just got these guys ordered up. A wild caught colony of 6 males and 10 females... They are reffered to as the Malawi Barracuda. Rhamphochromis macrophthalmus
  20. I'll check Greggs... I actually have a catalogue around here somewhere. I'm not to sure about Princess Auto, generally they sell Mickey mouse stuff. ( As far as high quality tools go.) But they definately have some cool knick knacks for building anything you can think of. They probably have some for a windshield or something really lite-duty. Thanks Toirtis, I'll give Wayne a shout. Like ya said 200 each.. You get what ya pay for.
  21. A friend of mine and I are looking at getting some of these for the sole purpose of moving tanks. I know Glaziers use them for handling big sheets of glass. They would have to be rated for at least 150 lbs each.. If anybody has seen any around town or know somebody who might have some available, just drop me a line... Would appreciate the info.
  22. Good score Tim... Are they eating good?
  23. Two Questions for ya! - How thick is that plexi? - How much was the shipping on that unit? Tanks alot.
