Tanks are 24 x 24 x 96 and the overall height is 70 inches, length 98 inches 2x4's and plywood.

I would opt to use 2 or 3 GFI breakers as opposed to spending the cash on 30 protected plugs.

It's not that difficult to bring these guys in. And when you are talking about $1000.00 USD per fish, 5 or 6 is a good sale for them. And they do a great deal of the paperwork for you.

I picked up a few from Golds last week, the Hydor 3 ( 850 GPH ). They consume 10 watts. And a fraction of the price of a Tunze. They were 46.00 each plus tax. Holds well on half inch glass. :thumbs:

To start off I'll have an FX5 on each tank, two powerheads per tank for circulation and I am working on an auto water change system. The tanks are only 240 gals.... I'm sure the FX5 can keep up if the water changes are constant.

So far I have dedicated one tank for my 8 Fossorochromis Rostratus, 9 Nimbochromis polystigma, and a small group of Synodontis multipunctatus. Future plans for the other 8 footer will be a SA tank... I was thinking Geos, Angels, Acaras, and a few severums. I was hoping to do a planted tank as well, maybe a simple community tank with Gouramis and tetras... In the meantime, I will be juggling some fish around in order to rebuild the fishroom.

Just working on the plumbing for these units and hoping to fill up this weekend.

Check shipping regulations with Airlines as well. Some require cardboard around styro.

Try a dark colored pop bottle... plastic or glass. Will take patience, but if you clean an 11 foot tank, I would assume you have it.

I would suggest at least a week before filling it after repair. And why wouldn't you do both sides? Aquarium makers suggest at least a week before filling a new tank. I have tested this theory more than once, being the unpatient sole that I am.

BooUrns... Well Said. The directions with the tools needed are the best. 1 - portable OR table power saw! How about the " screw gun " with the phillips bit... cause we all know they make the best wood screws!

There are tons of castors out there that have higher weight limits than these, you have to go beyond Rona and Canadian Tire tho to get them, and they arn't cheap. After doing a few quick searches on the net they would go for about $175-$200 a castor. The stand looks good and strong, the wheels will hold the load, but others have the point on how are you going to do the final level of the tank. Seeing that you are going to block it up now make sure the blocks are close to the wheels as that where the support is needed, but I am sure that your hubby will look after that as it is a very sound design. Whats your point? I could care less if the wheels will hold the weight or not. My point is clearly illustrated to how the plated castors are fastened to the frame.

Can't seem to find any in Alberta though, at least not listed on the site. Tere are actually numerous other types. Maybe only one called bag budies " That has staked claim to being the very first product of it's kind" But, trust that Jungle wasn't and isn't the only product. Do some research, you'll see.

I think the ones Tim was reffering to had a sedative in them. You don't see those ones around anymore. Definately helps with the transport of the fish.

Kyle, keep doing some research on the net. I'm looking at doing some acrylic tanks as soon as I get a new garage up in the spring. If I remember correctly there is a certain type of acrylic to use, and obviously the solvents to fuse it together. Keep digging. Zinc plated castors don't weld worth a sh!t. Good luck with that. I'd scrap the wheel idea. Otherwise, good support.

Is that a bare bottom tank? Looks as if there is no substrate from the pics.
