punman
I found Malawi cichlids in their natural habitat 2nd Edition by Ad Konings as well as Back to Nature Guide Malawi Cichlids. Both are available here in town and I took a peek at them. Is one of these two books better than the other? The Back to Nature seems to be based more on fish you'd find in a store. Is that accurate? It is also cheaper although smaller too. I'm kind of leaning towards that one but could buy the other (Malawi cichlids in their natural habitat) if it is of better value. I can't afford both right now.
Vallisneria
I have Malawi cichlids in their natural habitat 3rd edition and it is one of the best african cichlid(malawi) books out there. Not sure how different the 2nd edition is from teh 3rd but i woudl definately recommend that one instead of the back to nature book.
Troy
Punman : I have both books and I also have the "Malawi cichlids in their natural habitat" 3rd edition. I would suggest you put this on your X-mas list or save your money for this book. It will be worth the wait.
RD.
I agree with Troy. BTW - this book is now on sale until Nov 25th ($10 off) and with the current exchange rate, you will be hard pressed to find it at a better price than this. http://www.cichlidpress.com/
FishmanCalgary
Looking for more bang for your buck. Check out bookcloseouts.com. All discontinued TFH books starting around $0.75 up. Lots to choose from on cichlids, and other fish. Also look for a dicount coupon to the sight in your search engine to save more$$$$ I brought in 35 books for around $80.00 Canadian, inc shipping. THEY CALL ME NEGAS ;-) I'll buy that for a dollar.
FishManTy
Wow, thats wicked. Picked out an order, and now Im almost tempted to order from them... So cheap!!! 50%-80% off!! Books for a 1.90 The only thing that kills is the shipping cost... being impatient makes me want to get the express!! ugh. Anyone in Calgary interested in ordering and combing shipping with me? RD.
Interesting site, but most of those TFH Cichlid books are only worth $5, or less, and they certainly don't compare to the books by Konings.
