Sam Chicklets
I finaly got my 75g tank working. The tank was brand new with shipping damage, I put a new end in it. The stand is constructed from parts of old desks from work. The substrate 3 22kg bags of sand from Home Building Products $4.89 each. I cycled the tank for a week using 25% water from w/c from other tanks filled up with new water and an old noisy A/C 500 with Scotch-Brite pads for media. The final results 1 piece of vilyl eavestrough with a 4' flourescent fixture that was kicking around, a new 200w heater from Walmart, glass top from my stock of jewelry store glassand piano hinges but forgot to put handles on, and some plants and fish moved in from my other tanks. Not counting fish and plants this cost me just over $100. Plus a considerable amount of elbow grease.
