Aquanerd
We've had 6 Lemon tetras for 3.5 years now with no problems. But in the past week or so one of them has developed a white spot over his/her eye. The eye doesn't protrude, it is not stringy, fluffy, or anything like that. He/she acts very normal, eats, swims with the rest, all that normal fish stuff. Could this be like an old age thing? Like a cataract? :eh:
dunl
Most likely, but I'll let someone else chime in.
Sam Chicklets
Maybe sometimes they get catarracts when they get older like people do. I have an angel with thee same thing but it is perfectly healthy. Edited February 10, 2007 by Sam Chicklets
Vallisneria
I had a group of 5 columbian tetras that had the same thing happen as they got older. They were perfectly healthy but they had white dots on the middle of their eyes(like a cataract). They lived for 7 years and it didnt' seem to affect them.
