Iggyfish
Hello Everyone.. I met J-ROC at Big Als in Edmonton a few days ago... he told me to drop in and say hi! I am a pretty active member of www.myfishtank.net for the past year, however I will drop in here every how and then. Just like a whole pile of others, I got started in this hobby after my wife thought it would be neat to get my 3yr old girl a fish after Finding Nemo.... Little did my wife know I always wanted to keep fish (my father had a tank when I was a kid)... so 14 tanks later in 4 months.... I got pretty involved and educated in a short period of time. I am a local betta breeder, just small volume stuff - still 80 jars is a fair amount of work. I focus mostly on typical tropicals, with a pretty good knowledge of the cycle process (did I mention 14 tanks) and overall health diagnosis. I am a father of 2, my 5yr old daughter and my 3 month old son. I am an Account Executive at BBI Solutions, a web application development company (info see www.bbisolutions.com), with 5 years of web-programming experience. It's nice to know there is a local forum... I am always looking to get my stock from local breeders and I often have a few dozen fish (bettas mostly) and small tanks for sale. See ya round! Yes, my wife is pretty awesome... but still thinks I am pretty nuts. However, compared to lets say... hunting with $1,500 scopes and rifles... tropical fish keeping is not an expensive hobby. Now marine tanks.... well... need to sell a few more websites before I get one of those I wil post some pics up in the Pics forum soon. Thanks for the warm welcome.
