corrosionjerry
Does anyone have a good and fast DYI method for this?
Qattarra
If I remember the ACE meeting correctly, it was said to set out a water barrel or 5 gal. bucket out in the sun, add some plant fertilizer and let the sun grow you some green water. Now I would imagine that's probably glass covered as to keep undesirables out , not sure though. Good luck.
corrosionjerry
I wonder what kind of fertilizer that should be used... has to be natural I would think. It couldnt be potash based or mineral based could it? Likely a mulch of some kind..
JasonD
Sorry for the complete Noobie question - What is "Green Water"? Sorry - just trying to learn. J
arixonbarnes
When you do a water change take your aquarium water and put it in barrels or pails outside. It won't take long to go green without adding anything.
corrosionjerry
From what I read green water is water that has grown nutrients in it that can feed or nourish very small fry... so you could make the case that green water is fry food! jvision
I make green water by filling a tank with water, adding terrestrial ferts and leave the light on. Got it in 3-5 days, every time!
