Book recomendations

I'm looking into books for Malawi and general Africans, and I'm interested in suggestions. I looked at some old posts and saw Malawi cichlids in their natural habitat 3rd was good but what else. I'm looking for info from quite general info, breading, health, etc. I guess also I'm looking for more from the perspective of fish keeping (if this makes a difference) I guess I know I will never try to totally replicate nature.

If there is one good but more general book I would prefer that to hypercomplex and specific, I read enough dry textbooks for University :chair:

You will find a lot of information on the web as well as forums such as this one.

I have found Cichlid Forum to be very helpful with all types of Africans.

There are lots of African fish lovers on this site too which they are always willing to help out... you just have to post the question.

As for books... i can say that i haven't bought one yet, but found the internet to be well worth its value.

Malawi cichlids in their natural environment 3rd edition. Its my favorite book. It has tons of info and TONS of really nice pics. If you are interested in Malawi its a great choice.

Probably one of the best out there for 'in the lake' behaviour, with 'Malawi Cichlids in their natural habitat' being about the best there is for identification.
