Shayesmommy
They will eat them if you leave them, You have a few days to a week or so.. But it would be easier to remove the babies now if you decide to. I had a B**** of a time moving the babies after free swimming stage. By the way congrats and you wont have any trouble raising them. lol How many would you say there are?

Kevin
Connie, The honduran's are excellent parents. I raised mine out in a community tank. If mom eats them, it is only because she did not like being moved. If she does eat them, give her a rest and reintroduce her mate in about a week. Regarding food, the fry really like plant matter and algae. Good luck, Kevin
finaddict
ok, moved mama out and counted about 20ish fry- so small , hard to see in the cave even with a flash light!!! once they are free swimming is it ok to feed them- crushed flakes???? Shayesmommy
i used first bites and bbs. flakes should be fine. but like kevin said, i noticed mine will just eat algea. I decided to not raise any more babies at this time until i get rid of some heehee so i don't feed anything but the parents, and the babies in the tank thrive just as much eating leftovers and algea
