werner
Saw these things in the store the other day: Aero Garden. Looks cool, but overpriced. I already have the lights and nutrient enriched water in my aquarium... Could I just get some hydroponics pots and media and hang them in the tank? What about a refugium kind of thing? jvision
I don't see why not - I grow all kinds of plants in my tanks. If you're dosing ferts, you may want to overdose a bit to feed your herbs as well as the plants in the tank.
little sea
Sensi-Seeds, one of the biggest cannabis producers in Amsterdam, uses huge tanks full of oscars and arrowana to fuel their hydroponic systems (and these systems are HUGE). Their reasoning is that you can consume the plant at any stage of development with no fear of chemical poisoning.

werner
So I ended up buying an Aero Garden anyways. Got some basil sprouting already. Next time I buy some Tropica plants, I'll reuse the pot and rockwool and try growing some plants in my aquarium.
