Terrie Lee
In the last order of cherry shrimp I bought I got 2 bonus zebra shrimp. I was wondering if there is any easily visible difference between the sexes in zebra shrimp? The two shrimp look the same, but I am hoping that is because they are still young and that they are really a m/f pair. Also, will they crossbreed with the cherries? jvision
I haven't looked close enough at my zebras to see if there's any dimorphism. Chances are, they're the same as cherries - except for the color. And, yes, males do look a bit different than females other than the color. Males tend to be a bit more slender and more of a pointed nose. From what I've heard, zebs and cherries won't hybridize.
tbemis
I have both types in my 10g. I bought some of each off of Toirtis as he said that they will not cross breed. As far as I can tell though the males are a little smaller and slender then the females.
