frying_high
Ok, so the dilema is this, bought a bunch of awesome babies from a member of AA. Of corse I got them home and put them all in the same 20gl tank. How can I..if possible at all.. tell the difference between eurekas and sunshines at 1/2" ? Any way of doing it?? I am thinking I may have to hurry up and wait unless there is a trick to it (other than keeping them seperate) LOL :boom:
Vallisneria
Well any hopes of breeding them are out. When they get bigger you'll be able to tell the males apart but peacock females pretty much all look alike, a drab brown fish. So you won't be able to separate the females with much accuracy. frying_high
Thats ok, wanting to definately keep color in my tanks so was going to get me a few boys of each and find homes for the rest. Not interested in breeding them right now. Well any hopes of breeding them are out. Vallisneria
You might have to cull the females if you only want to keep the males. Selling them wouldn't be a good idea as you can't be sure of what species they are. Good luck figuring them out
African_Fever
I agree with Val. Once you get colour in your males, I'd cull the rest. No point in selling 'female peacocks' if you can't be 100% sure of which species they are.
