johnsmith
I just bought a surge protector from Walmart, then I got home and realized it says on the back, "not for use with aquarium equipment". I would assume that's their way of saying "this isn't meant to get wet". I wouldn't think there were any outlets that you could get wet. Are there surge protectors that are meant for aquarium use, or should this be fine, as long as I keep it dry?
Beermaster
My guess is not to get it wet or :boom: :boom: :boom: :boom:
freshmike
Probably just due to water, that's all.
Nandopsis
Well a sure way is to intsall a GFI recepticle in the wall. (Ground Fault Interupter)
Majestic_Aquariums
Yeah, I would have to agree w/ J-ROC on that one-or even mount a GFI inside your stand.
johnsmith
That's a good point. Those are the type of outlets found near sinks, right?
Nandopsis
That is correct.
