Hello to all,

After 10yrs with no fish, I bought a betta for my 5yr old daughter. I was hooked again, my passion was unleashed. With my 2 daughters amazment of fish I was driven to get back into it. I started with a ten gallon in the kids room with a few tetras, then set up a 38 gallon freshwater community tank in the living room.

Previously, the wife and I had a 20 gallon tank with Angel fish. Unitentionally this became the breeding tank for many a brood. Due to a move we had to shut down our operation. Upon relocation we started up a 45 gallon African Cichlid tank and a 80 gallone South American Cichid tank. After a few bad fish choices that massacred our tanks and left us with a few nasty lone fish we moved again. At that point we decided to take a break and try our luck with the human variety!

So here we are, the 38 gallon had an angel who laid eggs in a community tank and I found her a mate. Now we have a 55 gallon community tank in the living room and the 38 gallon is home to the Angels. The 10 gal is home for the offspring of the breeding pair. Needless to say my children are in awe to watch the growth and development of these beautiful fish.

I will post some photos of the breeding pair and offspring, as I will need some help with true identification. I believe the female is a marble blushing and the male is a white pearlescent marble or koi (he is white with marble stripes and yellowish forehead). Offspring seem to be a nice mix of both parents. Since I have been out of the fish loop for a while does anyone know were one could take the surplus of offspring.

I really enjoy being back in the fish groove and love the educational tool for my children. I am looking forward to getting into it even more and would love to venture into the saltwater realm to continue my journey!!

I am excited to have joined such an informative and knowledgeable site, with so many resources and fish minded people to correspond with. I look forward to the future!
