Predator - Pyxichromis orthostoma

I had some deformed Callochromis macrops and decided to see if my Pyxichromis orthostoma would live up to their reputation. They did.

One of the smaller females eating a fish about half her own size

Wow, thats a hungry fish!

In pic #2 whats up with the fish's spine, the one thats getting eaten. It looks all wavy.

The spine was like that since birth. I had a few fish from that particular batch that had similar deformaties. Maybe it has something to do with the female holding the fry way too long? Not enought room and they can't grow properly?

Sounds like a good theory to me. Did it affect their swimming abilities?
