Fishless cycle

I want to do a fishless cycle ... so I went a shopping for amonia..

The only thing I could find was NN household amonia / purchased at Super store / there is no list of ingrediants so I am assuming it is pure amonia.... is anyone familuar with this?

Try shaking the bottle like a maniac for a minute. If there is no or very little foam, then it should be safe. Usually the no name ones are better. The fancy brand name ones add extra stuff.

I tried the shaking and it doesnt foam.... I didnt realize amonia was a clear solution.. at least that is what is in the jug I purchased

I always thought ammonia was yellow ...

Safeway brand ammonia is safe to use.

But if you bought NN brand and it doesn't foam it should be ok.
