Mine have grown so high that they have come across the top of the tank and are coming down the front. Do I just clip them at the water surface, at the base or remove the whole plant? In horticulture we learned how to trim various plants so that they look more natural and not like they had a bad hair cut. I cut mine at an angle too, and at least they still look pointy at the ends instead of straight. For things like giant vals you can cut them in a v shape, by cutting it at 2 different angles.
