Drydock
Just wondering as my fry tank when empty seems to grow green algae. I have only had them for 2 weeks, but I'm starting to love my shrimp... they eat like crazy, and several of them just molted and are HUGE! Vallisneria
Zebra snails are what I use in my fry tanks. BN plecos also work depending on what size fry are in the tank. Otocinclus would be a good pleco choice as they are small and good cleaners. They need to be in groups though. Amano shrimp would be ok but you need a lot of them to make a dent in the algae. Do you have lights on this tank? If there is no plants you don't need lights. With no lights you won't get much/any algae.
EowynJane
Bristle Nose is my favorite... just be sure there is driftwood in the tank.
cichlidmomwanabe
I do have lights in it as my house is very dark. I have lights on all my tanks but that one seems to be the only one with the problem. My discus tank also has no glass cleaners and it never has algae? I change the water in the fry tank and my discus tank by at least 50% every 3 days. I have a female holding in it right now, I think I will try the shrimp.
