jhuynh
i just lost 4 red empress 2" and 4 malawi trout 1.5" in last two day. after i move my tank around the house. I have a 120 gal tank with was 25 fish, after the move some start dying. My ph 8.0 ammonia 0ppm nitrite 0ppm but nitrate spike to 20 or 40 ppm. I did 33% water change each day and still didn't help. What else can i do so no more will die.
JORG
Are they eating well or spitting out the food after a bit of chewing ?

stribbelldk
Umm I would say continue doing 10% waterchanges for a few days to try and get the levels normal. Did you put new filters on? Or did you use the cycled filter you had? Any new fish added lately? Are the fish looking beat up? Good luck Derek
JORG
that is odd, generally a malawi cichlid that eats is fine. Have you been properly dosing with prime with your water changes
Ishkabod
One last question. Did you save some water from the tank when you moved it or is is all new water. Also did you let the gravel dry out or not? With the eating you really have to watch to make sure they don't spit it out after a few seconds or longer Watch until it takes another bite of food. Good luck L
