Wackinator
Tie it to a rock or a piece of wood you like with fishing line or thread, up to you. As for what kind of moss it is, you could post a picture here and see if anyone knows or check out this website. http://www.aquamoss.net/ Hope it helps
Iceturf
hi i got some moss today dont know what kind it is but for the life of me i cannot find out how to plant it or anything any suggestions Superglue between the moss and the object in question works very well. They tend to grow to the wood thense forth.

Darren88
and should i take the drift wood out of the water to glue it first?
Kronosdelsol
Yes superglue is safe for your tank. Take the wood out if you can and attach it that way. Don't go crazy by applying a huge patch in one area. Just enough so that the moss will say. It will eventually attach itself to the wood. I would prefer to wrap the moss thinly around the driftwood and then tie around with either a mesh (dollar store delicate laundry bag) or with green cotton thread. It will hold within 3 weeks. If you like the moss ball/wall look, the mesh is the way to go. Just make sure the squares are large enough.
