filter floss

Just curious where to get some, can I just use that stuffing stuff for pillows or whatever from the fabric area of wal mart? is there anything I should watch out for?

Walmart in the fabric dept. Should have it on big rolls and you can choose how many feet/meters you want. You might also find some at Jysk.

When you do buy it, make sure that the packaging says nothing about any chemicals being added. Some quilting floss and batting has mildew and mold reducing chemicals in it. I have a giant bag from Walmart, should last me for a few more years. :thumbs:

Mine is called Eversoft 100% Polyester stuffing. It is non allergenic, washable. I haven't had any problems with it other then the fact that until it is saturated with water it tends to float a little. In my HOB filters I put a wad of it in and then turn the filer back on and push it back down with either my finger or a skewer until it stays down. Changing it as needed. I also bought some filter floss from a fish store that is a mat, that you can make your own filter cartridges with two pieces and some thread. I haven't used it lately as it is easier to put in a wad of floss. Hope this helps.
