She was giving birth as I got up and gifted me with 40 or so fry. She's part of a lovely group of fish so I was quite pleased!! Then as I'm stumbling around(coffee takes some time to kick in with me) and feeding everyone, I spotted a gold dust sphenops molly fry in another tank(another one of my favourite fish). However, I found 7 more this evening so the species survival of mollies will continue. With my heavily planted tanks and Calgary's water, I don't think mollies will ever be extinct in Forest Lawn.
