fishclubgirl
Anyone knows where to find red full moon betta? well... half moon probably ok too. thanks Uummm, full moon betta???? A half moon betta refers to the 180 degree caudal spread(tail) of the fish. I have seen some nice red HMs at Imperial Aquariums on 36 ST NE. About the only time you'll see a full moon betta is when they're swimming away...
BettaVishVish
thanks fishclubgirl. Yeah I heard there's no such of full moon betta, but some people argue that there is FM betta. I never heard the Imperial aquarium. Is it in Calgary? I wanna check it out .
fishclubgirl
It's around marlborough mall. And as a member of the International Betta Congress, I have never heard of a show class for a full moon betta?? Must be an urban myth :smokey:

BettaFishMommy
actually, you have it right but just the wrong name. OHM, or 'over half moon' bettas will have more than a 180 degree spread to their tail fin when fully flaring. for example: see the blue lines drawn at the edge of the tail fin? they are over 180 degrees. BettaVishVish
So..my betta hunting today had no result. I didn't find any half moon betta ...nevermind red HM betta. Oh well...maybe next time I get lucky. At least today I got to see two stores that I never heard or came there before
