They are from Central America, and they max out at less than 4". In a 180 you'd have lots of room for other fish. They're cave spawners, so make sure you have at least one cave for each fish to defend. In a 33, I had 4 and each would hide in its own cave and come out and case the angels away. I sold off everything else in the tank except a few plecos, keeping just one pair. They've since spawned and are parading their cloud of fry around the whole tank. They're a lot like Convict cichlids in personality, just a bit smaller... and not as prolific.
