finaddict
So I am in the process of up grading tw 45's in to a 90gallon, and am turning one over in to tanganyka set-up/ So purshased 2weeks ago 2 jul. transcriptus fish, female 3 inch&male2inches and yesterday was netting some aceis and cobalt zebra out and taking some thin rocks out to be replaced with a diffrent kind . Lifted off one rock and was so surprised to see about 7 fry hanging on the rock..... The parents are back to protecting there rock piles!!!! and babies... I have not decided to take them out or let them stay in the 45g!The saying just add water is so true -roll-
birger
It is interesting, but a little risky to leave them together for a while I have done it with good end results and they will continue spawning,of course be careful when adding anything new to the tank I found them to be quite protective. finaddict
Do the parents keeping raising them like brichardi? or let them fend for themselves????
African_Fever
Mine are in a species tank (with guppies), so the parents don't really have to guard them too much, but they do somewhat. The older fry leave the nest, and when they're 1-2" I usually remove them b/c I've found that the parents will stop breeding when there are too many fry around.
