nevchewy
Okay... so today will be day 30 that she is holding. Should i be worried? k9outfit... you said that she did hold for 32 days once... did you just let her spit her self? could i add some food to see if she'll spit to eat? everything is probably just fine... but i'm getting nervous! I'll keep you all posted! nev
Vallisneria
Sometimes fish just hold longer. If she has held for 32 days before she should be ok. IF she isn't super skinny or looking sick then i'd leave her. I always prefer letting them spit naturally then having to strip. I"d say wait untill 32days and then try to make her spit. Offering her food can't hurt.
k9outfit
Told you she'd make you sweat bullets! Personally, I wouldn't worry about her, just let her hold as long as she feels like it; that is, as long as you can take it. I think once she gets used to your set-up and routine, next time she'll be less likely to hang on to them 'til He** freezes over. You can try stripping her, but unless you're experienced, good luck! :smokey: I tried it when I got nervous about how long she was holding, but there was absolutely no way she was releasing them then either! Not sure how she held onto them with her mouth propped open and head getting dunked in and out of a bucket of water, but I only managed to get 1 out, gave up, let her recapture it, and just sat it out. On the bright side.... She didn't starve... :smokey:
