Raven
Trying to try for mainly West african, might get one other type of fish from mexico to give the amecas some company. Found lots on the Alestiidae tetra, boy some get huge, some seem really rare. and again i hate names. Anyone ever keep congo tetras? that common name is used for... 3 different species though :s i'll try and sort it all out.
Vallisneria
I have a group of congo tetras in my planted tank. They are really beautiful and get along great with my tankmates(angel, pleco, loaches, SAE).
Raven
Ok thats good. Where did you get yours from? are they picky with water chems?
jvision
Congos are pretty easy-going as far as water chem. You can usually get them at Nature's Corner. Not sure if they'll have tonnes of fish yet, this week; but, they will have more tanks than their previous store! Maybe send a PM or give them a call to find out if they have some or when they'll get them.
Vallisneria
Yes, I got mine from Nature's. They usually have some but since they are moving this week you might want to call ahead and ask. When buying congos remember that the males and females are slightly different looking. So make sure you pick out a good ratio.
