jesp
I have come across a couple huge free bottles of liquid fertilizer that are 2-1-1. Should I mix this with anything so that I can use it in my planted 90 gallon? It would be a shame to not be able to use this stuff. Thanks for your help! jewels
I think the caution lies in the Nitrogen source. Urea is said to be no good for planted tanks
jesp
Soooo, that would be the only problem? What about the balance of chemicals?
jvision
The balance could be OK if the tank were HEAVILY planted. But, ideally you'd want 10-1-10 (the K isn't as critical, as it doesn't induce algae when out of balance) .
