dan11
Hi I have a 135 gallon planted community tank. I was at the CAS auction last weekend, admiring the gorgeous Killifish and wondering if they would work in my setup? I have about: 5 german blue rams, one long fin 3 Bolivian red rams 15 zebra danios 12 - 20 neon tetras 15 small, medium, and large angels 1 small algae eater 1 red tailed black shark 4 or 5 clown loaches and 2 black skirt tetras. I was just wondering if I could perhaps introduce something like a pair of blue gularis? Or something colourful if you have any suggestions... I also have a 10 gallon tank I could house them in, but not sure if that would be big enough? Thanks for the help! Dan
syno321
Blue Gularis should be fine in the 135, although if you put a pair in watch that the female doesn't get too stressed from the male. Don't try a pair in the 10, you'll end up with just the male.
dan11
Thanks. Yeah, I definitely thought the 10 would be too small for them. Your sure the killies won't bother the rams or any of the smaller fish in the tank? Which brings me to my next question, where would I be able to buy a good quality pair? Thanks for the help! syno321
They may try to dine on the Neons. As far as availability, I would try an ad on this site. They are generally not something the LFAs bring in on a regular basis.
dan11
Haha, thanks! I'm not too worried about the neons, I was told that my massive angelfish would eat my neons, but they don't seem to eat very many neons I'm gonna put up an ad right now! Thanks for the help!
