DavidJHarrison
Hi, I have one in my brackish tank that's about 3/3.5 inches along with 2 Morey Eels-3 Mono's-Archers, I was thinking of getting another 1 but a different type, is it wise to have just two or is it as with Archers & Mono's 1-3 or more? Would having two cause fighting? Thanks

CORVETTE
They should be ok for a while they need places they can hide in. they get quite large, i sold a few at 12" a while back.
PistolPete
My two ntts do not get along. They were geting along fine with each other in the previous owners home. Just not mine. They are seperated and around 9 inches.

CORVETTE
I actually seen more agression starting in the larger sizes. It may be caused by the matureing of the fish or by size requiremnets. Like i have stated these are, will be very large fish so a large tank is required. I kept mine in a 230 gallon tank with a asian Aro,rays, and peacock bass for years, never had much problems at all but i did provide large hidding places for them. One other thing i should mention is keep up with water changes they are messy fish and they require good filtration.
DavidJHarrison
Thanks. What was the size of your tank? I have an external & internal filter & I do water changes every week when I clean the gravel & once a month clean both filters. I've kept fish for 10 years but not had my Datonoid for too long & its my 1st one.
CORVETTE
My tank is 72"x24"x30" and i'm running 2 fx5's, fluval 403, 2 seio power heads. Maybe its closer to 220 gallons i haven't done the math...I would love to run 2 aqua clear 310?s or i used to know as 500's but the euro bracing on my tank prevents it. I do 2 30-40% water changes a week when i have large predatory fish in it.
