Scuba_Guy
I was gone the thanksgiving weekend and I came home to one of my males beeing impaled by a shed stinger. Any advice? Will it fall out on its own?
jeremoose
From what I've read, most of the people on monsterfishkeepers.com end up having to medicate the ray and pull it out. If it's shallow enough it may press out on it's own but I wouldn't count on it.

Scuba_Guy
OK, Its out! Got some advice on Monster. I have an old style "grabber" for my planted aquarium. I thought that I would try those first as they have a pretty hard grasp before removing him from the tank. So grabbed the front of the stinger and he backed up and it slid right out. I would say there was a little resistance but not much. There was a little bit of blood on it. After removing it he swam up the glass and I can see his mouth I think the end of the stinger was in there?? So as turkeyboy85 said maybe he was chewing on it?? cheon
wow glad it ended out good. my friend had a sting on top of a males heads and every time he breathes a flap of skin on the top side of the rays flaps open and closed pretty scary.
