Cap'n
Yeah, but you can get 2 inchers for $35 at most stores. A Niger or a Picasso would be great in that tank. Rudy, start looking real close at the rocks, you'll be amazed with the changes. Just keep grabbing interesting pieces you see at the LFS, it will add up. rudy
I will definatley take you up on that Josh. Thanks. I really want a polleni grouper. Those are amazing. Pretty rare I have heard though. $500 for a starter fish maybe a bit much.
BlkWolfe
J&L aquatics has a 6" Polleni Grouper in stock for $479 i believe, however they're website is down, otherwise i'd post a link I'd jump at it, but my good husband points with the wife are runnin low, and i might not survive her seeing the bill :chair:
rahim101
Hey Rudy, when are we going to see some pics of this new set up??? Sounds cool. Also, where did you get a tank with those dimensions???? 108 gallon long...was that a custom tank????
albert_dao
I can get them for $225-$300 or so when they show up on the list. I ordered one for myself last time it was on the lists (two or so months ago), but it didn't show. I'm strongly suspecting it is the one I saw at JL while I was in Van. Damn them...!!! Anyway, I bet you could get two groupers in there. They'd have to be completely different forms though. Here's a few species that are a bit more oddball then most: Sixline Grouper http://www.wetwebmedia.com/soapfishes.htm The Grammistes sexlineatus is the one I'm talking about, third fish on that list. Hardy, commonly available and cheap. The only stipulations are that they can be toxic during transport and that they are complete gluttons, able to tackle prey AS BIG as they are. Oh, here and there, you'll also get one with a mean streak. Clown Soapfish http://www.oceanlight.com/lightbox.php?sp=...operca_punctata Pretty much identical in most respects to the Sixline, but grows larger and harder to ship. Price reflects White Margin Grouper http://wetwebfotos.com/Home?actionRequest=mediaView&ID=1733 This one is a hard find. I've had them at the store once and someone snapped it up right away. The pic here sucks but it's the only one I can find on the net. Remind me next time you're by and I'll show you a better one. Gorgeous species and stays smaller than its larger cousin, the Lyretail Grouper (Most elegant looking grouper IMO). Hope that helps. I have a lot more suggestions and pics next time you're by Tim.
