Ghostface
It appeared a few weeks ago,and slowly started getting worse. Not sure what to do about it, so far it hasn't affected any fish or shrimp.
Burbot
Your fungus is hydra! It will eat small fry. Cheers
jvision
Spixi snails and Gouramis are known to eat hydra. They show up in tanks that are over fed

Ghostface
Ahh ok...yeah I been dumping in the excess bbs from my gbr fry tank, so that would explain. What if I stop feeding for a week or so? Will shrimps eat this stuff?
Sprucegruve
spixi snails seem to do the job. i used to have some hydra in one of my shrimp tanks and they got rid of them over time, along with with less feeding.
BettaFishMommy
i get a few hydra in one of my tanks when i overfeed. the tank is bare bottom with plastic decor, so the hydra are easy to dislodge and suck up from the glass (the only place i ever see them) when i do my water changes. just cut back on feedings and get the hydra out via water changes, no need to fast your fish for a week. maybe feed every second day and only a small pinch?
