I'm setting up a new 90g mbuna cochlid tank and some dark colored sand would look great. Anybody know where you can get colored playsand? corrosionjerry Posted December 6, 2011 Report Share Posted December 6, 2011 Go to sil silica in edmonton and get #8... it doesnt get gassed up like playsand and its a lot cheaper .... you can get black substrate at a few of the LFS stores however you will pay an arm and a leg for it.... troni Posted December 6, 2011 Author Report Share Posted December 6, 2011 so as soon as you mentioned it i went a googled and found a company i emailed and this was there response "Hi there, you can buy our sand at our Edmonton location which is at 306-116 Ave Edmonton.
