Nukes25
Hey guys, yesterday I picked up a 48" current USA power compact light fixture for my new 120g ( price was free, works good, no complaints) My question is, reading the manual online, it says to place it on/above a glass top. Now my thing is, I was planning to fabricate a canopy out of wood, and fasten the fixture within it, keeping it reasonably above the water, would this be good, or should I just go for the glass top? I want a cover on the tank to help keep evaporation somewhat slow ( even though I do w/c's once or twice a week) and to minimize light bleeding out to the rest of the room ( I want to keep the light aimed within the tank, rather than trying to help light the room)
jvision
I don't think you need a glass lid. My wood canopy just has the lights mounted to it without a glass lid. It used to have 5 T5s when it was planted, now it just has 3.
