creekbottom
What are good, average water parameters here in Edmonton? Using tap water, with prime? kH? gH? pH? TDS? And what pH is too high for a community tank (tetras), or a shrimp tank (red cherry)? If there's a link, that's great. I couldn't find through search. The only test I own is TDS, and our tap water is about 250ppm, which is just fine for every type of tetra I've owned (about 10 different varieties) and my cherry shrimp seem to do OK. jewels
These shrimp- (red cherry) do just fine above 600ppm TDS. That would put the PH well into eight.
