Murdoc6831 Posted August 20, 2012 Report Share Posted August 20, 2012 Hi, Just bought a former salt water setup and in the process of cleaning it and getting it setup for freshwater. Undecided on what kind of fish I would like to keep, but the smart thing to do would probably something simple to start. I'm keeping the salt water stuff so hopefully one day I can go in that direction. Happy to have discovered a place with so much knowledge and experience. Guppygirl Posted August 21, 2012 Report Share Posted August 21, 2012 Welcome. What sized tank is it? If you like small fish tetras, guppies, platies, mollies, cories are easier first fish. If you like larger fish then some of the cichlids are a first fish-I don't keep them but others on here will chime in on the best first cichlids for new fish keepers.
