creekbottom
I'm starting a new tank and will be doing a dry start to get some moss and other things a chance to hang on before I flood. I can do 2 things. 1) Take crypts (parva, wendtii) from a submersed tank and plant them in this tank for an emmersed start. 2) leave them where they are and plant them when I flood the tank. I'm only looking at waiting 2-3 weeks, I have no patience for this surprisingly. Will this cause catastrophic melting?
jvision
Yes, they will melt each time you move them. The emmersed and submerged growth for each I quite different.
creekbottom
Ok, staying where they are. Thanks!
jcgd
But they might melt anyway when you move them from the other tank. There is a chance they won't melt which is nice. But if you put them in a dry start and then flood they will very likely melt.
creekbottom
I'm thinking they are going to melt no matter what I do, that's a crypt. But I think I'm going to go with one melting, not two.
