So once the store opens tomorrow need to no what to buy for media and what you guys suggest. And do you think a powerhead would be a good idea in a 72 inch tank. thanks merry christmas!!!!!! jvision Posted December 25, 2012 Report Share Posted December 25, 2012 I like to fill the bio chamber with something cheap and easy to get - Dollar store scrubbies fit the bill. I modified my FX5 to hold 10L of media instead of the 5 or so that it holds stock. I'd show you the link, but the site that has the mod is gone. I have another that I'd like to mod, so when I do, I'll take some pics. Whether you need a powerhead or not depends on what you'll be keeping. Some fish like lots of flow, some don't.
